Home Assistant Configuration
System location and time zone
- Browse to Settings -> System -> Home information and update your time zone appropriately.
- Scroll down to Location and select Edit.
- Click on the pencil icon (top right) and select your location. Click save when done.
BOM configuration
- Click the Settings item on the left menu

- Under Configured, locate the Bureau of Meteorology integration and select it (note that if it is not installed by default, you will need to add the integration (bottom-right of page). If it doesn't exist already, you can ignore the steps below to delete the existing setup, but you must still enter your location details and perform the rest of the configuration yourself).

- Click on the 3-dot menu to remove the existing services:

- Enter the Latitude and Longitude that you obtained above, then press Submit

- Change the Weather Entity Name to home. This is very important, do not change it to anything else other than home or your BOM forecasts will not work.

- Make sure the Customise Additional Sensors are all ticked.

- Keep the Change Observation Sensors exactly how they are and do not change the basename to anything other than home. Ensure that all the options are ticked in the lower dropdown box.

- The Change Forecast Sensors should be kept as default, with Home as the basename and the full 7 days of forecase days. Ensure that all the options are ticked in the lower dropdown box.

- Keep the Warnings Sensor name as Home

- Once complete, you will be presented with the Success prompt.

ℹ️Two BOM services
Note: If you obtain a weather.home entity missing error on your Energy Overview dashboard, your will need to install a SECOND BOM service, just like above, following the same instructions. Keep all the defaults the same and make sure you call the service "home", just like previous. This will create a second service with the missing entities within it only, even though you have followed the same process.
